The next meeting of the Alamogordo Ladies Concealed Carry Group will be held Thursday January 12 from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm at the Cuba Ave Church of Christ.I realize that we had previously discussed moving our meeting to Tuesdays and we still anticipate doing that, however for the January meeting we will be meeting on Thursday.
After a brief program we will have a planning session to see what activities and programs you all are interested in for 2012. This will be an important meeting, so I encourage you all to come. One of the things we will also be discussing are ways to increase the participation in the group, so come with your ideas.
I have attached a flyer for the meeting. I encourage you to post this wherever you can and give copies to your friends that might be interested.
I’ll see you all next Thursday!
The First Annual Ladies Concealed Carry Retreat is scheduled for March 24 & 25, 2012 at the beautiful Sacramento Assembly, south of Cloudcroft. This overnight retreat will feature 4 shooting sessions designed to improve your defensive shooting skills as well as to assist you in applying those skills in defensive situations.
The Ladies CCW Retreat starts with lunch at noon on Saturday and ends after lunch at noon on Sunday. This event’s instructors are Coralie Carrier and Richard Barbaras.
Pre-requisite: Concealed carry license or equivalent training. This retreat is not intended for beginners. Participants must have a New Mexico concealed carry license or equivalent training.
Realistic situations such as close range retention shooting, shooting on the move and shooting from the ground are the first few session scenarios that will be covered. In addition, instruction and practical application when having to shoot in public places or from a vehicle are scheduled. A night shooting session includes shooting both with and without a flashlight.
There are only be 12 slots available for this first Ladies CCW retreat. Registration for the Ladies CCW Retreat will be on a first come, first served basis. Participants in the Alamogordo and Las Cruces Ladies Concealed Carry Groups will be given the first opportunity to sign up for the retreat. At some point, if all the slots are not filled, enrollment will be opened up to other qualified women.
You will need a center fire handgun, a holster, extra magazines or speed loaders, a flashlight that you can operate one handed and approximately 500 rounds of ammunition (bring more just in case). And don’t forget to bring a warm sleeping bag.
Cost for the retreat will be $195 (double occupancy). Meals and lodging are included.
For further information contact Richard Barbaras or Coralie Carrier. We encourage you to consider joining us at this retreat.
There will be an organizational meeting of a proposed Cloudcroft Ladies Concealed Carry Group on Monday November 7 at 6:00 at Big Daddy’s Restaurant in Cloudcroft. Ladies, come and have dinner (Dutch treat) and join in the discussion.
The First Annual Style Show of the Alamogordo Ladies Concealed Carry Group will be on Tuesday, October 18 2011.
The event is not scheduled on the regular meeting day so regular atendees should be sure to mark their calendars so as to not miss this! The Style Show is scheduled to begin at 6:30 pm and will be heldat the Cuba Avenue Church of Christ at 1300 Cuba Avenue.
This will be a great opportunity to see how other ladies carry their concealed handguns. There will also be food, refreshments, prizes and ‘goodie bags.’ Ladies, come join us and bring a friend. This should be an interesting evening.
Do you have a concealed handgun carry license? Would you like to get to know other women who also carry a concealed handgun for protection? If you are thinking about getting a concealed carry license but haven’t quite made up your mind, would you like to talk to some women who carry?
Please plan on attending the April meeting of an informal women’s concealed carry networking group. The purpose of this group is to offer support and encouragement to women who have a concealed carry license (whether they are actively carrying a concealed handgun or not), or are interested in obtaining a license. We will have an interesting program.
The meeting will be held Thursday, April 7 from 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm at the Cuba Avenue Church of Christ, 1300 Cuba Avenue. You do not have to be a student of Riclin Firearms Training, LLC to participate. Please invite any of your friends who might be interested to this meeting as well.
This will be an opportunity for you to meet with other women who are carrying a concealed handgun, to share stories of how you have adjusted to carrying, discuss holster options, accessories and to encourage others who are experiencing difficulties in carrying.
