The First Annual Ladies Concealed Carry Retreat is scheduled for March 24 & 25, 2012 at the beautiful Sacramento Assembly, south of Cloudcroft. This overnight retreat will feature 4 shooting sessions designed to improve your defensive shooting skills as well as to assist you in applying those skills in defensive situations.
The Ladies CCW Retreat starts with lunch at noon on Saturday and ends after lunch at noon on Sunday. This event’s instructors are Coralie Carrier and Richard Barbaras.
Pre-requisite: Concealed carry license or equivalent training. This retreat is not intended for beginners. Participants must have a New Mexico concealed carry license or equivalent training.
Realistic situations such as close range retention shooting, shooting on the move and shooting from the ground are the first few session scenarios that will be covered. In addition, instruction and practical application when having to shoot in public places or from a vehicle are scheduled. A night shooting session includes shooting both with and without a flashlight.
There are only be 12 slots available for this first Ladies CCW retreat. Registration for the Ladies CCW Retreat will be on a first come, first served basis. Participants in the Alamogordo and Las Cruces Ladies Concealed Carry Groups will be given the first opportunity to sign up for the retreat. At some point, if all the slots are not filled, enrollment will be opened up to other qualified women.
You will need a center fire handgun, a holster, extra magazines or speed loaders, a flashlight that you can operate one handed and approximately 500 rounds of ammunition (bring more just in case). And don’t forget to bring a warm sleeping bag.
