An Interesting Thought… Don’t arbitrarily divide your life into “safe” and “dangerous” parts, places, nor activities. Fate may neglect to celebrate your dear fantasy! Carry your weapon! This came in an email describing the brutal assault leading to the death of one and serious injury of the other of a couple out jogging in an upscale neighborhood one morning about a month ago. Both of them had concealed carry permits but were not carrying at the time. Three men armed with baseball bats pulled up beside them in their car, stopped and assaulted them. One of the lessons stated in the article was the fact that no place is safe.
May Concealed Carry Class…The May Concealed Carry Class will be held on May 9 & 10. If you are interested, or know of anyone else who might be interested in taking the class, please have them contact Richard at firstname.lastname@example.org or (575) 430-3040.
Women’s Only Concealed Carry Class…We have been thinking about offering a Women’s Only Concealed Carry Class sometime in June or July. In addition to the basic concealed carry class, topics specific to women, such as specific ways women can carry, how to select a holster, etc, will be added. How many of you ladies out there would be interested in such a class?
Tip of the Month…Become ambidextrous with your handgun. Anything you can do with your strong hand you should be able to do with your weak hand. Practice one handed shooting, reloading and malfunction drills.
Individual or Specialized Classes…If you have specific needs not met by our regular classes, or are interested in a different kind of training, please get in touch with me. I’d be glad to work with you or your group. These classes can be one of our regular classes taught on an individual basis or can be set up to work with your particular needs or interests and around your schedule.
Refresher Class…We will be teaching a Refresher Class on April 19 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Remember, you must do the Refresher at the mid point of you license. You have two months before the mid point to two months after the mid point to do the Refresher. Contact Richard at email@example.com or (575) 430-3040 if you would like to take this class.
Free Shooting Clinic….As I announced earlier, we are putting the shooting clinics on hold until the fall. The demand for the concealed carry classes has been so great that we have not had time to do anything else. We enjoy doing the clinics and enjoy interacting with each participant. Once things settle down with the concealed carry classes, we will start up the clinics again.
